WHISKERS DOG

Whiskers Dog is 14” high made of Cocoa plush with Whitev ears and White muzzle, with felt eyes and Red felt tongue and Black pompon nose and a light Blue ribbon.
Whiskers Dog was designed in the late 1950s and sold through the mid 1960s. The retail price was $2.98 each in a store. It was a very popular design. This body styles was also made in a Grey Donkey and a striped Orange Tiger
In 1958 and 1959 Hans Meyer- Mary Meyer husband – went to Germany to visit his brother and sister who he had not seen since before World War 2. Being a salesman at heart, he took along a few samples on his 1959 trip. Whiskers Dog was one of his favorites and he sold a fairly large order to a chain retail stores in Switzerland. We made the toys in Vermont and shipped it to Switzerland.
