OSCAR DOG

Oscar Dog is a 13” high Cocoa Dog with White ears and lower jaw, with felt eyes and Red felt tongue, a Black pompon nose and a light Blue ribbon.
This dog was also made as a musical toy – #983- which had a turning head at $6.98 retail. The musical mechanism was a very high quality, key wound musical and was a very special, expensive mechanism made by Reuge in Switzerland. The mechanism as it played also caused the dog’s head to turn to the left, then to the right, then back and forth – right and left until the mechanism was unwound. Mary Meyer has one of these toys in our collection. The musical mechanism still works beautifully after almost 50 years.
