STANDING DAPPLED HORSE
This Horse design was made in 4 different sizes. It’s on the cover of a Mary Meyer
catalog in about 1975. The four horses with Linda Meyer (Mary Meyer’s grand-daughter).
It was photographed on the Brattleboro, VT common, which made a very scenic setting.
The Horse was made from the printed plush fabric. At that time we were using acrylic
plush, which was an excellent material for stuffed toys. It wore well and washed very
well also. The body and head were the printed plush fabric. The underbody and the
feet were White plush and the mane and tail were shaggy White plush. The eyes are multiple layers of felt with Pink felt nostrils and a large Gold colored satin neck-ribbon.
