MEDIUM TEDDY BEAR

medium Teddy Bear – 14” high – This was a very standard bear designed by Mary Meyer herself in about 1950. It was a standard bear and was made in Cocoa and Tan – about 14” high in extended position. Which means when you stretch the toy, he is 14” long from the tips of his toes to the top of his ears. In a sitting position he is about `11” high. There was also a Panda Bear version, same size and same price as #341.
This bear was made from 1950 to well into the 1970s. In 1950 when he was introduced he sold for $2.98 in a retail store. He was stuffed with shredded foam, with felt eyes, nose and tongue and a Red satin ribbon. He was also available as a Musical toy as #940 and retailed for about $4.98.
