RENE FOX
Rene the Fox was designed in the early 1960s and was part of the Mary Meyer stuffed
toy line for about 10 years. #312 – Rene was 12” long and retails for $2.98, was made in bright red and rust. His tail was a longer white plush fabric. His nose and ear linings were also a shorter white plush. Eyes and eye-brows were cemented on felt and the nose was a black pompon. Originally the plush fabric was made by Baxter, Kelly & Faust in their Philadelphia, PA mill. Stuffing was shredded foam rubber. Each Fox had a satin ribbon around it’s neck. Rene the Fox was a top selling stuffed animal during the 1960s.
