Sitting Teddy Bear
This Teddy Bear is also a very early Mary Meyer design - 1949 or early 1950s and also designed by Mary Meyer herself.
This bear was the most important body design we made. From this pattern for this body many other design were created.
Made with standard toy plush and stuffed with cotton in the earliest time and then stuffed with chopped foam rubber and later with chopped polyurethane, which is very similar to foam rubber. The eyes, nose and tongue were felt and were cemented onto he toys.
